When and where is the race?
The Mad Dash takes place on Saturday, August 25th in the town of Marlborough, NH. Starting time is 9AM for the 5K race and 9:15am for the fun run. Runners check-in/register at the gazebo at the intersection of Frost Hill Rd. and Stone Pond Rd. beginning at 8am. Map available here.
Can I register online?
YES! You'll save $5 off the same day registration fee and we can guarantee you a t-shirt (if you're one of the first 100 registrants). Register here through August 23, 2018.
Where do I pick up my bib and t-shirt?
Bibs and t-shirts will be available the morning of the race beginning at 8AM at the check-in (see above).
Is the race professionally timed?
Yes. Your racing bib contains a chip that will accurately record your time when you cross the finish line.
Can I run with my dog?
For the comfort and the safety of everyone, we request that you leave your furry friend at home. (Note: this applies to all pets.)
Can I run with a stroller?
Absolutely! The Mad Dash is a family-friendly event and we encourage you to bring the little ones. If you plan on running with a stroller, we ask that you start your race (either 5K or Fun Run) at the back of the pack for the safety of all particpants and that you check your stroller in advance to ensure that it is 'race worthy'.
Is there a kids' fun run? Can I walk the race?
Kids of all ages, recreational runners, walkers, and the like are welcome to participate in the Fun Run, which begins at 9:15AM.
Where can I park?
Parking is conveniently located in fields near the start and finish lines. Volunteers will be on hand to direct you to a space. See map here.
Will water and refreshments be available?
Yes. Water and snacks will be provided.
Will there be bathrooms available?
Yes. There will be portable restroom facilities on site.
Will there be first aid on hand?
Yes. Trained first aid personnel will be stationed at the race.
Can you guarantee that I will get my size t-shirt?
We will do our very best to get you the right size, however, shirt sizes are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Registering online in advance (the sooner the better) and arriving early for same-day registration will help afford you the best selection.
What happens after the race? Where are awards presented?
Awards will be presented at 11AM in the Municipal Parking Lot off Frost Street adjacent to Jai Food Mart.
What if it rains?
The Mad Dash will be held - rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather conditions, the event organizers reserve the right to postpone, shorten, and/or cancel the race.
Can I get a refund if I cannot run?
Unortunately, we do not issue refunds for 'no shows' or in the event of unforeseen circumstances that necessitate cancellation of the race due to safety concerns.
